会社の来客や自宅に友達が訪ねてきたときに、
次回会うときまでの約束事をすることがあります。
そんなときに使える英語表現を紹介します。
さっそく英語の例文です。
I'll buy a dictionary by the time you're next here.
（あなたが 次に来るときまでに、辞書を買っておきます。）
「by the time you're next here」は、
以下のように「by the time you get back」や「by the next time you come」に
することもできます。
I'll buy a dictionary by the time you get back.
I'll buy a dictionary by the next time you come.
これを応用すれば「（次に）〜するときまでに」というさまざまな表現を作ることができます。
例えば、
I'll buy a guidebook by the time we leave Japan.
（日本を出発するまでにガイドブックを買っておきます。）
I'll look up the place on a map by the next time we meet.
（次に会うときまでに、地図で場所を調べておきます。）
ちなみに「〜までに」という表現が不要な場合は、
「by」を省けばよいでしょう。
