英語で「価値がある」は「worth」という前置詞を使います。
いくつか例文を挙げますと、
It's worth a try.
（試してみる価値はある。）
It's worth listening.
（聞く価値がある。）
It must be worth a look.
（見る価値があるに違いない）
こんな感じです。
この「worth」を使った構文ですが、
いくつかパターンがあります。
次の英語を各構文で表現してみます。
「ロンドンは訪れる価値がある。」
①「主語 + worth 名詞」
London is worth a visit.
②「主語 + worth ～ing」
London is worth visiting.
※この場合「visit」の後ろに目的語は取りません。
③「It's worth while ～ing」
It's worth while visiting London.
※「It」は形式主語
④「It's worth ～ing」
It's worth visiting London.
※③のwhileを省略した形です。
⑤「It's worth while to 動詞.」
It's worth while to visit London.
以下の形式は不可です。（whileが必要）
